Who we are
We were founded in 2009 with the aim of offering small and medium-sized companies and producers the same services and know-how that large players have at their disposal that their own departments provide. All of this, of course, only to the extent and for the duration that you as the client actually need it.
We see ourselves as the Chief Financial Office of our clients and support them with more than 20 years of industry experience in the areas of Finance & Controlling, Operations and Productions.
We connect Cardo with Media - as an expression of our passion for film and television production.
Our name
The Cardo
[also: Kardo, derived from the Greek cardia - the heart]
If a Roman city was planned - that is, at that time, in the 8th century B.C. - the city planners began with a main axis, the "Cardo". Perpendicular to it they drew a second axis. At the point where the two crossed, was the center of the city. Around this point, the lively life (and death, if you think of the gladiator fights) took place.
We, as Cardomedia, associate the term Cardo with positive things throughout and complement them with the term Media - as an expression of our passion for film and television production. And as an expression of the fact that the work we do for you is an affair of the heart.
We are partners of small and medium-sized TV producers up to large national and international production companies - from start-ups to established production houses.
